The Shimano Flatfall jig is an excellent lure for tuna and other large predatory fish. It’s very simple to use and is highly effective…as you will see in the video below. You can cast or drop the Flatfall jig, let it sink and then reel it 30 feet or so then let it sink. You’ll get a hit very quickly.
The angler in the video catches fish after fish….non-stop. The tuna are small, about 20 lbs, but the jig works well for larger tuna too. Small tuna are still fun to catch!
Shimano Flatfall Jig for Tuna Fishing
These Flatfall jigs work great. Sometimes you need to try different methods of jigging to get hits. If you’re over a school of tuna, just cast and wait for the strike. Otherwise let it fall to the bottom then pull it up 30 or 40 feet then let it fall again. Here’s a link where you can buy this tuna lure….Buy Now at Amazon.com
